Delete your account
You can delete your account, and everything tied to it, at any time. There is no waiting period and no questions asked.
In the app
- Open The Garden and go to the You tab.
- Tap Delete account.
- Tap Delete everything to confirm.
It happens at once, and you are signed out.
Without the app
Write to support@silentgarden.in with the subject "Delete my Garden account" and the mobile number you signed up with. We may send a code to that number to check it is yours. We delete the account within 7 days and confirm by email.
What is deleted
- Your profile: phone number, first name, and what you told helpers.
- Your circle: the people you added and your link to anyone who added you. They are no longer connected to you.
- Invites you sent, and invites sent to your number.
- Home, Work and recent places you saved.
- The record of every request you made: its timeline, the log of who viewed your location, and any SOS audio recordings.
- Your live location, if a request was open. It ends first, so nobody is left looking at it.
- Your login, and the notification token for your phone.
What is kept
Nothing that identifies you. If you helped someone else during their request, the fact that a helper responded stays in their record until it is deleted (90 days after that request ended), but it is no longer linked to an account.
Only want some data removed? You can remove people from your circle, change what helpers should know, and change Home or Work in the app without deleting your account. The record of each request is deleted automatically 90 days after it ends. For anything else, write to us.
