Meet people through their inner world, not their face.
Most apps hand you a feed of faces and ask for a snap decision. The Garden does the opposite. You answer a few honest questions — what made you laugh this week, what you find beautiful that others overlook — and the garden quietly puts a few people in front of you whose inner worlds seem to overlap with yours.
Every deeper piece of you — your photo, your poem, your music, your real name — stays sealed by default. You open one specific piece to one specific person, in your own time. Here, attention is the gift, not a metric.
Built to slow you down.
No feed of faces
No rapid yes/no on photographs. No endless scroll. A few considered people, with a human reason why.
No being measured
No compatibility percentage, no leaderboard, no ranking you against anyone else. Ever.
Opened by consent
You hold only a few live conversations at a time, and unfurl yourself one leaf, one person, at a time.
The way a long evening conversation works.
Plant a few honest answers
A small set of questions about how you see things. No bio to perform, no highlight reel.
Meet a few overlapping souls
The garden privately suggests a handful of people, each with one short sentence on why.
Unfurl, leaf by leaf
Reach out with a few real lines. Open your photo, your poem, your name only when it feels right.
Let silence be kind
If a thread goes quiet, it simply rests — no notification, no guilt. Revive it whenever you like.
Questions, answered.
Is The Garden a dating app?+
Yes, and no. People come here looking for partners, friends, or just someone to think out loud with. The garden does not force you to pick a label at the door. It is, in practice, a slow dating app for people who want to be known before they are wanted — and it is also a way to find a friend who gets you.
How is it different from other dating apps?+
No swiping feed. No compatibility score, no percentage, no leaderboard. You hold only a few live conversations at a time, and every deeper piece of you is sealed by default — opened by you, to one person, when it feels right.
Is it free?+
Yes. The garden is currently free to use, and there are no ads. If we ever introduce a paid layer, we will tell you first, and it will be transparent — not surveillance, not a leaderboard, not pay-to-be-seen.
Do I have to share my photo?+
No. Your photo is just one of several leaves on your windowsill. You can use the garden indefinitely without ever uploading one. If you do, it stays sealed until you open it to a specific person.
Who is it for?+
For people who have felt small inside the loud apps. For people who want deep conversations with strangers rather than rapid judgement. For anyone who wants to be known, not measured.
